I liked this still life setup...I could see the pink background bouncing off the white cup and the cast shadow...and the turquoise reflective light.  This was fun to paint!  6x6 acrylic on panel

#17 friday the 13th...

I feel like it has been Friday the 13th all week...I have struggled with acrylics since Monday.  Not happy with this one...probably headed to the gesso pile.  6x6 acrylic on panel

I thought I would give those of you who look at my blog something to laugh about.  I haven't sketched people in awhile, so yesterday I decided to sketch from a YouTube video.  These three were sitting at a table giving an interview...I think they look comical. 3B pencil and watercolors in a 5x7 sketchbook.

This is salt & pepper shakers I bought at the end of last Easter.  I'm trying to loosen up more on my brushstrokes...not sure if I accomplished that, but I tried.  4x4 acrylic on panel

I decided I didn't like the lighter purplish wall, so I darkened it...this is what I love about acrylics...they dry quickly and can be changed easily.
